With the Global Birding Weekend, the international organization "Global Birding" calls on people all over the world to explore native birds in their environment on 17 and 18 October 2020 and to share their observations on the platform eBird. ZEISS Employees and Brand Ambassadors will be participating in this global event to raise awareness for the work of bird conservation organizations to an even wider audience and to contribute to their funding.
Together with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, a long-term cooperation partner, ZEISS offers selected awards for participation over the Global Birding Weekend. Every participant submitting five eligible checklists on eBird on October, 17th has the chance to win one of two ZEISS Victory SF 32 binoculars, the high-performance binoculars especially for ambitious birders. ?
The event is multi-faceted and has the objectives of building a global community who is passionate about nature and record as many bird species as possible and log them into eBird virtually. Share your observations via sketch, phone or camera with the global audience. Every species counts – from the most common to the rarest, each bird is as important.
